Our candidate, Ambassador Nathaniel Barnes, was honored to be invited to serve as keynote speaker at an elegant fundraiser held by The National Maryland County Associations of Liberia in the U. S. (NAMCAL) on Saturday, September 24, 2022 in Providence, Rhode Island, USA.
This was particularly significant for Ambassador Barnes who considers himself a proud son of Maryland County. His ancestors played an important role in the development of the County. The gathering of Marylanders from all over the US proved a resounding success culminating in the ball where thousands of dollars were raised during the Queen Contest - a NAMCAL tradition. Ambassador Barnes and his team were moved by an inspiring church service at Trinity United Methodist Church in Providence on Sunday followed by a lively time at the Farewell Cookout.
The officers and members (planners of the Convention) were most gracious and hospitable in true Liberian style.
